Buziaș is not only mineral water: the hills around it have an old wine-growing tradition, and here you taste it right next to the vineyard.
About the place
The winery sits on the Silagiu Hill, in the wine area between Buziaș and the village of Silagiu, which belongs to the town. Vines have been grown on these hills for centuries, and several wineries work here today, including Aramic and Dealul Dorului.
Thesaurus makes white and red wines from Muscat Ottonel, Riesling Italian, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir. The reds are aged in oak barrels. The tasting includes a cellar tour and a platter of cheeses and traditional products, and is by appointment only. Since 2023 the winemaker has been Ștefan Stanciu.
