It shows the area's history, from Thracian finds at Susani to the folk dress of the Timiș plain.
About the place
The building, with a Baroque-style facade, was built in 1898–1899 as a bank. The museum has used it since 1968 and holds nearly 65,000 objects.
The collections include Thracian pieces from Susani and Dacian finds from Jabăr, costumes and crafts from the Timiș plain and the Făget area, documents of local figures, Austrian School paintings and sculpture by Elisabeta Popper.
