It pairs a relaxed coffee with a small museum of everyday objects from the communist era, under one roof.
About the place
The furniture is salvaged and deliberately mismatched, and the mood is easygoing, like a large living room. The independent Auăleu theatre performs in the same building in the evenings.
In the basement is the Museum of the Communist Consumer, opened in 2015, with appliances, toys, clothes and packaging from the socialist years. Entry is free, donations are welcome, and many objects can be handled.
Good to know
- Head down to the basement for the museum; entry is free.
- Check Instagram for what the Auăleu theatre is showing that evening.
